Playing Catch-up

I'm a little behind in boring you senseless with my activities so I'll try and keep it brief. My remit, as ever, is using this as a record of 'wot i done when i done it'. Though why I've felt the need to write it like that is your guess as good as mine.

Took last Friday off to entertain friends from Australia and their two boys. It has been kid central in my flat recently. Still we managed to find lots of child friendly activities that included a tour of CBBC, a flight on the London Eye, a London Bus tour, markets and a trip to Greenwich.

The bus tour was enlightening, it appears that everything in London was built by Sir Christopher Wren or Sir Norman Foster.

The Royal Observatory by C. Wren

Greenwich is great, even on a rainy Sunday. The Royal Observatory museum is free to get into and I will confess that by this point I perhaps accidentally on purpose lost the children and found a quiet place. I was rumbled five minutes later with 'here she is Mum!'

It was great to see them, catch up and gossip over old times. Mick and I have known each other since we were 9, which is a bloody long time ago.

Tuesday Clare invited me to accompany her to the 'legend' that is Tony Joe White. I confess I'd never heard of him, but that was no hindrance to a very entertaining evening, even if most of it was alcohol related and laughing at the old rockers. I realise that will be us one day, with any luck however, I'll be too drunk to care.

And lastly, just to amuse you, on Monday night I was standing sans clothes in my flat (having just emerged from the shower). Shortly after a man knocked on the door and ten minutes later he was in my bedroom.
