I say, wizard!
Reading the new Harry Potter sometimes feels like I've accidentally started reading a teen romance novel. Consequently I feel a little pervy reading it. There's a lot of snogging going on and I've realised that the euphemism 'going for a long walk' is clearly *ahem* heavy petting if not shagging.
What would Mrs Weasly say?
There's a terrible lot of exposition too. Dumbledore spends entire chapters explaining away every question that Harry, and by default the junior reader, might have. I'd be happy to accept that as they're wizards and witches, anything goes.
I'm very close to finishing, less than 100 pages and something has just happened which has surprised me slightly and yet if it's true (I'm not counting my spells till they're counter-jinxed twice) I can suddenly see where the seventh book will go. Else I fear it'll be another round of Harry's Adventures at Hogwarts with a bit of Voldemort fighting and teen angst.
Accio Book
[Edit} Finished. La la la. [/EDIT]
