Lag
Oh dear, I thought I'd escaped jet lag on my return journey - it's rarely very bad but it would appear as I'm up at 2am on a school night, it did happen. I am resisting the urge to get an alcoholic beverage.
For posterity these are the films I saw on the plane/s.
1.St Trinians
2. 27 Dresses
3. BoyTown
4. Dale and Real Life
5. I Can't Be Your Woman (winner of worst film title EVER!)
Look them up, I can't be arsed finding the IMDB link, they were all watchable and certainly not taxing, which was just as well as I flew at such an ungodly hour and was being deprived Bloody Marys so couldn't have concentrated anyway.
London is just beautiful - the spring leaves have kicked in with a vengeance (it's funny the April trips really do show the most marked difference - viva la seasons) - and the weather is sunny and bright. Heck it's exactly the same as in Perth but we just appreciate it more here. I guess the only thing I was disappointed about down under was the lack of hot enough weather to swim in. Not that I didn't make it to the beach. Dad stood on the shoreline appalled as I braved the waves, cold and seaweed. It was bliss.
My suitcase split open! I found a top of mine on the carousel - luckily underneath my suitcase and luckily it looks like it had only *just* split so contents, apart from the aforementioned top, were kept contained. I managed to get it all home without any further mishap. It would appear the main purchases were yarn, handbags, food and booze. My life there summed up.
