Number 5 is Alive

*waves*

I'm online at home! I mean properly, well not properly. I'm not quite wireless and broadband yet but in spite of the cables lying across the carpet, I am at last online on the new laptop. I doubt it'll make me more prolific on the old blog but you never know.

Still I'm here now and I am contemplating a early evening drinkie to celebrate my a) achieving internet access and b) staining and hanging the new* blind and curtains in the bedroom.

They look a treat. I have moved on quite a bit from the gentle cream and wood shades in the bedroom to something a little ethnic. I'm quite pleased with the result though I can't say that it's my favourite style. Still needs must when you've got a black cat moulting all over the place. At least this way I can't quite see how much fur is being shed. Which reminds me, must hoover.

I've been away a bit recently. Weekends in Suffolk and Norfolk, work trips to Cardiff and New York (with a few days added on for leisure). In the latter case, some serious shopping. I'm calling July, Adriana Month. That is to say I'm not going anywhere and I'm going to catch up on everything I need to do. And also, importantly, to be spontaneous instead of having my time allocated. Mind you, I am going up to Sheffield this week for a few days. But apart from that... Oh you know what I mean.

I have put away my little St George's Cross pin and the bunting for another 4 years and in order not to appear too much of a fickle World Cup viewer, though clearly I am, will continue to watch and have decided to support Germany. The main reason being that if we can't win then I usually support the home team. Also Germany had no part in our downfall. Which was, quite frankly, our own doing.

Idiots.

*i've had them three months....
