More tea Vicar?

I'm a little bit hit and miss with updating this blog (States the bleeding obvious). Certainly the weekly entertainments that keep me occupied and out of harms way don't always make it to a post. More often than not they fall by the wayside, recorded only as a scrawled note in a diary 'Dinner - Girls' and 'QD - *insert name*' . They deserve more. Now that I have a shiny new laptop and the associated angst that comes with 'learning how to upload photos' 'which broadband provider will be cheapest but more reliable' 'how do you download music', I will eventually get the Flickr account running with pictorial evidence of aforementioned entertainments.

In the meantime I give you Viva Cake. A 50's swing and tea party at the (of course) Bethnal Green Working Men's Club last Saturday. It was absolutely delightful. Tea and cake. I mean what more could you want? A drink? Of course, make mine a gin. I wore a lovely dress, even if I do say so myself, played cards and dominos and indulged in much tea and home-made cake and deluded myself that G&T's don't get me drunk.

And people wonder why I prefer to live here than in Australia.
