East Enders
I went to a charity night at a nice proper East End boozer last night.
There was an Elvis impersonator - from Kent.
A Jim Davidson stylee 'comedian' who died a death, especially his jokes that started "Paddy went into a bar..." and "There were these two guys with HIV...."
And one of the 1st page 3 girls - and yes she was 60 - selling raffle tickets, a lovely woman with a shock of blonde hair and fabulous earrings.
Actually there was a whole collection of finely preserved women with blonde hair and the barmaid was Peggy Mitchell. However in spite of the awful comedian the rest of the night was an absolute scream and we raised money for a good cause. In return I won a bottle of whiskey.
Oh and the pub - the Horn of Plenty - says it all really.
