Surf's Up Dude.

Well Dad & I finally got down to the beach today. I got the boogie board out, got the fear, got dumped, lost my sunglasses and pulled a muscle on my side. It was loads of fun.

It's just fabulous lolling about on a board looking out to the ocean. (Well looking out for sharks, and at times hoping my sunglasses might surface). The weather was just perfect, a clear sunny day of 30c. There was a kid and his dad walking down to the beach behind us and I heard him say 'Dad it's really busy' and really you've got to laugh. It was empty. Well pretty close. I'm going to send pictures of Brighton and/or Bournemouth next time the temperature hits 25c. Now that's busy.

List de jour: Dogs I have met on holiday. (I do mean hounds by the way).

Molly
Roscoe
Kelly
Spot
Merlin
Zappa
and I heard Shiraz on the phone.

Saturday night was lots of fun and very drunken. My drunkenest so far (and kids, it's not big or clever). Champagne cocktails, wine & shooters. I spent the better part of the following day trying to shift a cracker of a headache, used up all my Solpadiene *sobs* and went out and bought Nurofen *cheers*.

It meant however that when I visited my friend Stuart last night, instead of our usual alcohol fuelled catch-up we had a lovely civilised dinner instead. Hell I even had a coffee to finish. (Don't panic though, we did share a bottle of wine over dinner).

Actually the sodding hangover was so bad I still felt dodgy when I woke up this morning. Thank goodness for the pounding surf, that'll take your mind of anything. And as I recall, my bikini top.
