It's a Girl

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Actually it's two girls.

Quite a busy day on the baby front yesterday. Whilst I was down at the shops deciding what presents to buy what I thought were as yet unborn babies, there they were making their way into the world.

First to arrive, Lola Marie at 1.15pm weighing in at 7lbs. Her mother will be delighted that she arrived during the day when there's nothing on the tv. Good signs ahead. Lola will be instructed in the finer points of contemporary music, classic rock and the familial values of The Simpsons. Lola will live in the leafy enclaves of Hertfordshire and her honorary aunt Adriana will visit to go on outings to Hatfield House and country shows, telling her all about Elizabeth 1 and stopping for tea and cakes where possible.

Baby number 2, whose name is to be confirmed, was born just after 7pm. Here at TMP we've been given the main contender for a name but will hold off announcing until her parents do. Here's a hint, it starts with an I EDIT Baby I is now known as Imogen /EDIT. Baby I allowed her parents a nights sleep and the chance for grandparents to come to mind her big brother on his last afternoon as a single child. Now he is a big brother and eldest child to boot. Important roles to play. Baby I will grow up in the leavy enclaves of zone 5 with a palace nearby to which I will visit and tell her tales of Elizabeth's father Henry and all his merry wives. Tea and cakes will be required also.

Congratulations to all.

Hmmm. I feel slightly sad that I have never been, and will never be an oldest child or a big brother. Mind you, if they're important roles, perhaps it's a good thing...
