Tickets, Money, Passport?

In the interests of political impartiality I bring you Michael Howard on the sofa on GMTV this morning. Wearing a lilacy/pale blue tie. It's not very nice. (Trinny & Susannah moment over). Michael comes across quite well but he's getting a much harder time than Tony did yesterday. When he brings up Labour's record in the past they stop him to say 'talk about the future' and the later when he does talk about the future they say 'but in 1997 you said/did X'. I mean Eamonn & Fiona are hardly political heavyweights and their interviewing style leaves a lot to be desired at the best of times but it's still irritating. Michael doesn't really say anything of any import, certainly not to me and his mantra of lowering taxes is not backed up by where he is lowering taxes, though he does rule out a reduction in the base rate. On the 'Mike-O-Meter' which sits listlessly for most of the interview, we have a dip when immigration is mentioned. If only, although perhaps mainly, because not only does he refer to asylum seekers but also other general immigration, without which, dear reader, you wouldn't have me.
