May Day

Well the electioneering has kicked off and first up on the GMTV sofa is incumbent pm, Tony Blair. He's wearing a pink tie (that's for you Pashmina) and bigging up the economy and doing down the opposition. The thing I like most about the interview is that he seems relaxed and articulate. He's speaking like a normal person and by that I mean not the ridiculous staccato style he favours that is so easily pastiched by the likes of Rory Bremmer and co. He's the consummate politician deftly avoiding the one question, put forth by a viewer, that I had interest in. So in terms of my own 'Tone-O-Meter' he went down significantly at that point. I am already highly suspicious of the political propaganda winging its way through my door. Don't think I don't see through your glossy materials and shiny DVD. It still says nothing of relevance to me.
I will be watching this election campaign very, very closely.
