The Mark of Pri
I have sneered and tutted my way through several years of Primark's growing prominence, whilst of course making several furtive trips there myself. Thankfully on at least 50% of my visits, that would be approximately four out of eight visits, (see how she protests too much) I have been upheld in my beliefs. Still the 50% success rate and the emergence of a convenient location in London's glittering West End lured me in on Saturday.
Upholding the one out of two ain't bad ratio, I promptly turned and left when I saw not only every woman on Oxford Street clutching a Primark Oxford St bag, but a queue that double around itself outside the store. Moving fast granted but if that was what it was like outside, can you imagine what it was like inside?
Never let it be said I'll let a bad experience stop me, I awoke early on Sunday, spent a delightful hour on the balcony having a lovely healthy breakfast, reading Friday's paper and quite frankly getting so hot I had to come back in, before catching the bus into town to sneakily beat the crowds by arriving when it opens.
Or so I thought. It was heaving when I got there minutes before midday, still there was no queue so I bravely entered in. As is often the case, an initial sweep of wares on offer showed that again because it's cheap, it's nasty and I was rather smugly about to wander off to some other dodgy establishment when a little skirt caught my eye..... until an hour and a half later, 12 items of clothing and approximately £70 parted with I emerged another faceless woman on the street clutching a Primark Oxford St bag.

Surprisingly only two things are going back.
